The International Court of Justice: 75 Years in the Service of Peace and Justice, published to mark the seventy-fifth anniversary of the inaugural sitting of the ICJ, is now available from a variety of EPUB retailers in an electronic format fully compatible with leading screen-reader technologies such as JAWS and NVDA.

    The International Court of Justice announces the publication of two volumes of I.C.J. Pleadings, Application of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (Qatar v. United Arab Emirates). These volumes of the I.C.J. Pleadings series contain the pleadings, oral arguments and other documents submitted by the Parties in the case.

The 15 bound volumes include the collections of judgments from 1923-1930 (Series A), advisory opinions from 1923-1930 (Series B), along with the collections of judgments, orders and advisory opinions from 1931-1940 (Series A/B).

    By an Order dated 4 August 2023 in the advisory proceedings on the Obligations of States in respect of Climate Change, the President of the Court extended to 22 January 2024 the time-limit within which written statements on the questions put to the Court may be submitted and to 22 April 2024 the time-limit within which States and organizations having presented written statements to the Court may submit written comments on the other written statements.

    By an Order dated 6 July 2023, in the case concerning Application of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (Armenia v. Azerbaijan), the Court found “that the circumstances, as they now present themselves to the Court, are not such as to require the exercise of its power to modify the Order of 22 February 2023 indicating a provisional measure”.
